Our multidisciplinary tax team, specializing in scientific research and experimental development (SR&ED) tax credits, is currently seeking a qualified engineers and scientists to deliver first-rate advisory services to our clients. As a SR&ED Manager, you will:
Assist our clients in identifying activities that are eligible for tax credits and other federal and provincial government assistance . Help clients draft technical documents in order to obtain these benefits and achieve their business goals. Work with both client and the appropriate authorities to settle any issues that arise during the review of claims. Keep abreast of current and emerging technical developments and explain their impact to clients. Develop specialized expertise, as well as internal/external contacts and profile in a focus area . Provide creative solutions to problems, scope out major projects or engagements, and develop practical plans for their completion . Present assignment deliverables to clients, with partner and/or principal as appropriate, and ensure client satisfaction. Maintain regular contact with current clients to identify and communicate service opportunities . Organize, prepare, and clearly present information to others and respond to their questions in one-on-one and group situations
Job Requirements:
A degree in mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience in business or industry
Experience in metal manufacturing, automation, automotive components, aviation engineering, custom manufacturing, or electronics (hardware and firmware) is preferred
Excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills
Experience with the SRED program (or other government incentives) is appreciated but not a prerequisite for consideration
