THE OPPORTUNITY:

An excellent job opportunity for a strong Cost Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business in North Nottinghamshire. You will join a friendly small team in a role offering a sound challenge for an experienced cost accountant. This is a great role for an AAT/CIMA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified accountant, my client will also look at applications from Qualified by Experience candidates. My client is based on the Nottingham / Derbyshire border and is easily reachable from both locations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process working closely with the company accountant
Standard product costing for numerous different lines
Margin analysis and investigation in to any changes being required
Variance analysis and investigation into any discrepancies
Production of sales and labour costing reports
Ad-hoc financial and management information analysis reports for the senior finance team.
To produce and maintain Work in Progress reports on a monthly basis.

Essential:
It is essential you have prior experience working in a manufacturing environment in a role with a heavy focus on cost accounting, any applications without standard costing experience cannot be considered.
