The Company
Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of their client, an Engineering Consultancy based on the outskirts of Manchester. Due to recent acquisitions and more in the pipeline for 2012 our client are looking to increase headcount in their core Finance team by recruiting a permanent Assistant Management Accountant.

The Role
The Assistant Management Accountant will report directly to the Group Finance Manager and will be an integral part of the Senior Finance team. The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for the balance sheet accounting, fixed assets, capital expenditure, cash and bank accounting and commercial finance and all journal preparation. Your role will specifically be the maintenance and integrity of the balance sheet, balance sheet reconciliations, period end accruals and prepayments and ensuring all journals are prepared and completed within the month end timeframe. The successful candidate will ideally be AAT qualified with a view to further study or will be at the early stages of either CIMA or ACCA and will have had some exposure to a similar role with a strong desire to develop into a full Management Accountant role and complete your qualification. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team and be able to adapt to an ever changing environment.

Salary & Benefits
£20k - £24k plus benefits and study support.
