Mae Lynch is looking to recruit an exceptional Junior Accountant for our Birmingham based public practice client.

Our client is an impressive firm of accountants with an enviable track record of delivering success for their clients which cover numerous industries. As a direct result of their continued growth a new and exciting position has been created for an ambitious Junior Accountant to join their team.

This is a unique opportunity for a Junior Accountant of the highest calibre to work within a dynamic firm of accountants were they will enjoy an unrivalled amount of client contact which is rarely found in positions below managerial level.

Reporting directly to a Manager the successful applicant will undertake a wide variety of general accounting duties including accounts preparation for Limited companies, management accounts, VAT returns, tax work and some bookkeeping duties as well as specialist ad hoc assignments.Typical client turnover is c£8m which will invariably expose the successful applicant to complex accounting matters.

A large proportion of the work undertaken will be based at client premises therefore providing the successful applicant with direct access to CFO's, FD's, FC's and Finance Managers. This amount of client interaction, at such a high level is exceptional, to that end our client is looking to recruit a dynamic, forward thinking Semi Senior with superb technical and interpersonal skills.

Ideal candidates will be AAT qualified or part qualified or alternatively ACA or ACCA part qualified with approximately 2 years experience gained within a general accountancy practice.

This role would suit an ambitious Junior accountant who is looking for their first career move in order to achieve their natural potential as they're being held back in their current firm.

Due to the extensive client contact, which forms a large part of this superb opportunity, applicants should be prepared to spend appropriately 80% of their time working away from the office at client premises. Our client will of course provide all the 'tools' required in order to facilitate this level of remote working.
