Job Opening: Junior Project Controls Cost Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:   

THE DESIGN GROUP ENERGY DIVISION is currently seeking a PROJECT COST ANALYST for our client, a respected oil and gas operating company.

This is a Calgary-based position, 1 year contract.

Position Overview

This position will provide primary support for business activities mapped to capital projects within the Corporate Financial reporting system. Key responsibilities include project set up, facilitate procurement requirements, maintain and monitor flow of information from the project's system and expedite the invoice process. This encompasses the end to end process in SAP and requires constant communication and interaction with all project personnel and other supporting departments such as Enterprise Supply Chain Solutions (ESCS) and Accounts Payable (AP).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Review and address outstanding GR/IR issues
-Assisting in cost control and incurred cost identification for Purchase Order's
-Maintain consistent SAP workflow in employee absence
-Confirm cost information has been initialized with well database
-Confirm correct PO information
-Monitor to endure SAP current plan parallels database being used
- Key contact for AP
-Invoice investigation
-Reporting
-Complete additional work tasks as required/assigned by Team Lead as may be required.

JOB SKILLS:

. Post-secondary degree or equivalent work history;
. Preferred SAP experience but not mandatory;
. Ability to perform effectively under pressure;
. Assertiveness and the ability to articulate clearly;
. Strong communication skills;
. Strong organizational skills;
. Effective relationship-building skills with all levels, internally and externally.
