Job Opening: Business Analyst - Enterprise Content Management
Location: Calgary, AB, CANADA
Our client has a 1 years contract for a ECM Business Analyst.
The Information Workplace (IW) Phase 1 project is the first of many global Information Management projects at our client. This project has a number of deliverables:
.To develop a new SharePoint 2010 portal); for this phase 1 project, this portal will only include the main portal page, the associated taxonomy, and other information deemed critical for the front page by Communications. However, the overall visual identity and user experience will be defined in this phase. The technical build is an assumed deliverable.
.Migrate the global Health and Safety information from its current locations (document mgmt systems, share drives, etc) into the new SharePoint 2010 portal
.Migrate Norway content and tools from its current locations(s) into the new SharePoint 2010 portal.
You will be accountable for capturing the business requirements for our client's Norway migration. Currently Norway information is managed (or simply stored) in three locations: Norway Insite portal, TENAS Information Portal (TIP) and TENAS Management System (TMS)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Work with the business to complete an analysis of the three locations noted above to determine which information is the most current and needs to be migrated to the new Portal
oDocument the detailed Business and Functional Requirements
oUnderstand which is 'global information' vs. 'Norway information' (what should go where)
.Develop and align the Norway taxonomy/metadata model with the global IW model
.Identify where Norway has customization from previous implementation; working with IT, determine alternatives for new implementation
.Assist and document the translation of requirements into deliverable solutions - Configuration or Customization
.Work with Communications to understand global visual identity design standards
.Determine how Exploration information will be handled for Phase 1 (not included as part of previous Norway implementation)
.Develop and document use cases and test cases
.Lead user acceptance testing
.Identify issues and coordinate issue resolution from a business-facing perspective
.Participate in the documentation of the effort levels of requirement delivery
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
.Business Analyst experience required; Project Management experience preferred
.Experience in the lifecycle of requirements from capture through testing and validation
.Proven leadership ability
.Excellent interpersonal, presentation and engagement skills both verbal and written
.Proven written, communication and facilitation skills
.Proven analytical skills with the ability to apply results of analysis
.Effectively manages change
.Well-organized, and has solid priority management skills
.Ability to manage the client relationship, regardless of the rank of the client
.Works interdependently - consulting and collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders
.Flexible self-starter who works well with little supervision and has strong ownership for the work
.Responsive to customer needs, comfortable with ambiguity; is a critical thinker
.Ability to manage a high degree of business interaction and carry the challenge of engaging business and IT personnel
.University degree with 6 to 8 years experience or equivalent experience
.3 to 5 years of experience in the information management field is mandatory
.SharePoint - Must Have minimum 5 years experience in large SharePoint projects
