The Company

Robert Half Finance and Accounting are recruiting on behalf of a well known blue chip organisation that is renowned as a market leader within their field for a Senior Accountant to join the team on an interim basis.

The Role

Due to expansion and promotion this senior accountant position will be on an initial 5 month basis with the option of extension. Reporting into the Head of Finance for this division of the business you will effectively be the number two in finance and responsible for the day to running of the Accounts function. You will be a qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA) and comfortable with working in a big company environment. Day to day responsibilities will be the production of the financial and management accounts and various reporting that has to be submitted to the senior management team throughout the month including the commentary and analysis. You will be able to prioritise your workload and tasks accordingly and also not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get involved in busy periods with regards to the transactional workload. This role will be one in which the successful candidate can help define the responsibilities for the position long term as my client is hoping to up skill the post when the next permanent appointment is made. Salary & Benefits

Based in Edinburgh and starting early December this Senior Accountant position will be paying the appointed candidate £22.50 per hour plus holiday benefits for the initial 5 month contract.
