Job Opening: Paddison - Technical Service Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Responsible for change management, problem resolution and escalation process flow for desktop environment.
- Provides technical support to all NI&S managed sites, Branches, RBC Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Service Delivery, RBC Insurance
- Manages client expectations and provides a high level of customer service in daily client interactions.
- Participates in infrastructure projects.
- Responsible for the implementation of servers, PC platforms, printers and other core technologies essential to the bank's core infrastructure and businesses.
- Participates in developing and documenting process improvement, and re-engineering initiatives for administration, maintenance and management of environments (i.e. sharing best practices).
- Uses common operating procedures and process guidelines to ensure adherence to RBC Financial Group's policies.
- Liaises with NI&S teams responsible for the voice and data administration, network support and technology implementation.
- Performs activity reporting against system status (daily), activity record completion, project status and severity one advisories.
- Takes leadership role for all related implementation and refresh activities for specific site (co-ordinating with both internal and external partners).
- Manages personal workload and prioritize tasks.
- Manages personal skills development and participates in cross-training initiatives.
- Participates in 7/24 work arrangements as required to support NI&S activities (including technology implementation/testing/upgrades required on off hours or weekends).
- Responsible for the dissemination of training scripts and operational processes, as determined by the national implementation project plan and in support of the assigned technology implementation.
- Participates in BCP activities as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
All candidates who wish to be considered for this position MUST HAVE:
- A+ and NET+ certifications
- Strong understanding of technology and concepts.
- Incumbent must be available to support a 7/24 work arrangement and participate in the support of the NI&S “After Hours - On Call” pager support process.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience in the operation of bank supported problem tracking/recording/remote control applications such as Peregrine (including Change Management) and Tivoli.
- Good understanding of standard hardware and telecom technologies and concepts used by RBC Financial Group.
- MCP or MCSE certifications
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and resolve client technology issues for diverse business locations across Western Canada. (all of Alberta, parts of Saskatchewan and British Columbia)
- Fulfill Move/Add/Change requests on a 7/24 basis.
- Exceed client expectations as documented in our Service Level Agreements.
Experience: Minimum 1 year
Education: High School Diploma / GED
