Job Opening: Proposal Engineer
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Job Responsibilities:


Managing and coordinating the development of corporate proposals:
Evaluating the requirements for each proposal and hosting Go-No Go meeting as applicable;
Developing proposal strategy in conjunction with corporate and management team;
Development of proposal clarification requests as applicable;
Coordinating generation / review of proposal deliverables from multiple disciplines;
Developing proposal documents including project schedules, execution plans, manhour estimates;
Managing compilation of final proposal documents; and
Development/coordination of any post bid clarifications, presentations or interviews.
Tracking proposal status and supporting discipline managers in determining requirements for resources;
Coordination with Client representatives as required;
Working with project teams to hand-off awarded projects; and
Tracking business development Best Practices and streamlining the proposal development process.


Job Skills:


3 to 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferably for an EPCM or owner firm;
Knowledge of project management processes and procedures, including project scheduling;
Knowledge of Conventional Oil and Gas, Thermal Heavy Oil and/or industrial construction projects;
Broad knowledge of multi-discipline challenges, deliverable and philosophies;
Ability to think creatively and determine out-of-the-box solutions;
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines;
Strong technical writing skills;
Attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a broad range of people; and
Desire to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.


Job Qualifications:

Engineering degree or technical diploma combined with relevant work experience preferred, any discipline
Business or Project Management training is an asset
