Job Opening: Exploitation Engineer
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

The successful candidate will be working in a multi-disciplinary team to manage and find opportunities in the NE BC core area (Dawson gas development).

Job Responsibilities:

· Maintain effective communication within a multidisciplinary team of Land, Operations, Engineering, Geology and support staff.

· Provide reservoir / exploration guidance to the team on development and exploration opportunities.

· Conduct economic evaluations in support of exploitation activities and acquisitions.

· Building and tracking annual budget and work with Geology, Geophysics, Operations and Land to coordinate team's budget activities.

· Work in conjunction with Business Development on corporate evaluations.

· Review and guide 3rd party reserve evaluations.

· Prepare and track various government applications.

· Compile progress reports on various high-profile projects.

The ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of Western Canadian oil and gas experience with a reservoir engineering focus with some specific experience in NE BC. Engineering degree required. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are essential. Must be able to balance multiple priorities and be comfortable working with ambiguity.

Specifically we require:

Well-rounded experience, including but not limited to:

· Experience working within multidisciplinary teams; with experience coordinating the efforts of the team

· Creative project design and management skills and experience

· Fundamental reservoir engineering skills

· Pressure Transient Analysis /Rate Transient Analysis

· Reserve assessment and analysis experience

· Production forecasting

· Economics

· Log evaluations and interpretation

· A&D evaluation experience

· Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).

· Strong computer skills with experience in the following programs being an asset: AccuMap (or GeoScout), PEEP, Value Navigator, Oilfield Manager, WellTest, RTA, PW Outlook and Microsoft Office.
