Job Vacancy: ESTIMATOR - CONSTRUCTION
Location: Winnipeg, MB, CANADA

Our client, a leader for more than 40 years in the Industrial & Commercial Flat Roofing Industry (Winnipeg), is seeking an ESTIMATOR to perform all tasks related to estimating and budgeting of projects.

Job Responsibilities:

· Preparation and / or coordination of full cost estimates from conceptual development through final construction;
· Reviewing proposal specifications & drawings to determine scope of project, and required contents of estimate;
· Preparation of discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of project;
· Maintenance of document files as back-up for estimate figures - including current (accurate) information on supplier pricing, through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.;
· Reviewing design options, & recommending best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials;
· Additional assignments as per supervisor's direction.

Job Qualifications:

· Minimum - 3 years related experience (commercial construction - preference will be given to candidates from the commercial roofing industry);
· Educational qualifications include a CET Diploma; construction / engineering degree; or equivalent combinations of technical training and / or related experience;
· Proficiency in Excel is required; will be trained on 'in-house' software program;
· Ability to assume responsibility and to interface and communicate effectively with others;
· Must possess strong interpersonal skills;
· Must exhibit enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives, & be self-motivated.
