We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a background in masonry, architectural metal and/or scaffolding projects. With each of our projects, from the simplest to the most complex, our goal remains the same: do the best job possible, always.

Job Description


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for project administration of sites up to $5 M with all site functions reporting. The Project Manager often undertakes and completes the cost estimate and is capable of estimating the project with review approved by the supervisor. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the project, its profitability, and for retaining the owner and prime contractor as a continuing client of the Company. Responsibilities included but not limited to are as follows:

· Provides overall administrative and technical direction for a project.
· Ensures that the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
· Responsible for planning, scheduling and estimating on projects.
· Controls expenditures on projects, interprets the project specifications and scope to all disciplines
· Reviews and approves designs and vendor drawings to ensure conformity with project specifications, company practices and good engineering practices.
· Prepares and updates engineering control documents
· Monitors design changes and contract extras
· Participates in proposal development as required.
· Contributes as appropriate to the pre-award process of determining project scope, planning and estimating.
· Assists, reviews and negotiates contracts; liaises with legal counsel as appropriate in conjunction with Department Manager.
· Develops, recommends and implements the project plan, after being awarded the project.
· Selects key personnel for the project in conjunction with the Department Manager.
· Selects subcontractors for the project, in conjunction with the Department Manager.
· Coaches/mentors, provides direction, and reviews the performance of personnel reporting directly.
· Monitors and controls progress, costs and budgets throughout the project.
· Advises the Department Manager on project status and results in a timely fashion.
· Reviews each project's progress with the project staff as the project proceeds.
· Acts to resolve disputes between the company and client, or company and subcontractors when possible prior to Branch or Department Manager's involvement.
· Identifies required and optional changes in project scope; negotiates change orders with the owner.
· Ensures that project staff understands the company's operating policies and practices, and apply these appropriately.
· Maintains safety standards in all aspects of each project.

Job Qualifications:

· Graduate of engineering tech program.
· Five to ten years of experience in construction project management.
· Knowledge of construction design, finance, thorough knowledge of industry and company practices, processes and standards.
· Superior communications, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Computer literate in a Windows environment and ability to interpret computerized data is essential.
