Statutory Accountant
Edinburgh, £175/day - £210/day

A major Financial Services Institution is looking to recruit a Statutory Accountant on a £175-£210/day 6month rolling contract.

This role sits within a specialised team responsible for the MI, decision support, statutory reporting and financial control for a specific Business Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts for the leasing subsidiaries. There are a substantial number of legal entities that require financial statements all with a varying degree of complexity and each requiring an audit.

Requirements:
* Newly- or Post-Qualified accountant.
* Extensive experience in preparing annual statutory accounts.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and to strict reporting deadlines.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* Strong IT skills including MS Excel and Word.

The successful candidate will gain experience in the specialised area of lease accounting and become part of a centre of excellence for lease accounting.
