Job Description / Qualification

Our client a FTSE 250 Services company are looking to recruit a ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified or Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to ensure sufficient reconciliations and transactional controls, the integrity reliability and timeliness of financial records and reports, Support the Financial Controller in the completion of month end and effective control of working capital through management of debtors, creditors and cash.

You will have a minimum of 3 years experience of working within an Assistant Accountant role, be technically strong with relevant recent experience of assisting in the management of a subsidiary business accounting function. Knowledge of finance systems and processes and modern accounting skills would be advantageous but not essential.

Duties Include:
* Supervision of sales, purchase and nominal ledger accounting processes.
* Preparation of monthly profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports with supporting variance analysis.
* Preparation of budgets
* Preparation of monthly control account reconciliations.
* Maintain fixed asset register.
* Review and approval of transactions posted to financial accounting database.
* Review and approval of all payment runs.
* Manage bank reconciliations
* Production of reports to aid financial control.
* Reconciliation and agreement of all inter company balances.
* Assist in the ongoing refinement of all control procedures identifying existing development requirements and potential resolutions.
* Assist with system implementations and maintenance thereafter.
* Ensure financial procedures are fully documented.
