Our financial services client is seeking an experienced Senior Managing Architect with a strong breadth of knowledge in both Architecture and Contact Centre business and technology experience.
Job Description:
The incumbent will provide direction and leadership for architecture for a portfolio of applications and technology. The incumbent will lead a team responsible for structure, design, technology and infrastructure, as part of the process of developing, customizing, integrating and maintaining systems for all solutions in the phone channel. The incumbent will provide solutions and technical architecture guidance and oversight to project delivery and system support teams as they develop and maintain client technology solutions. A strong and proven track record and experience architecting application and technology solutions in a large-scale mission critical environment is required. Experience with service oriented architectures, enterprise service bus technology, business process management, and/or document management is beneficial.
The incumbent will have deep knowledge and understanding of voice/telephony/phone/contact center vendors, technologies, capabilities and functions including: contact routing platforms, IVR (Interactive Voice Response) systems, contact centre (agent) desktops, hard-phone and soft-phone technologies, CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) technologies and call recording technologies.
While knowledge of retail and/or branch banking, wealth management or insurance experience with phone channel architectures is beneficial, it is not mandatory.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Create solution Architecture as required for a portfolio of projects
2. Accountability across the entire architecture domain including application, middleware, services, data, and infrastructure architecture; Liaising with other architecture groups / disciplines including infrastructure architecture, data architecture to deliver complete architecture solutions
3. Leveraging, building, and/or extending enterprise technologies and guidelines
4. Innovation and thought leadership in overall execution of technology strategy
5. Governance and advisory activities for projects as required
6. Expertise and counsel at an executive level to provide architecture options and technology choices in support of their business initiatives.
7. Oversee/define development specifications, technical requirements, system performance objectives and identify system modifications required to meet objectives.
Job Requirements:
Engineering / Computer Science Degree or Equivalent
5-7 years relevant experience

. The incumbent shall have enterprise architecture capabilities, at an expert level, across a number of the following dimensions:
. Enterprise Architecture: Enterprise design patterns, multi-platform architectures, enterprise customer data management, enterprise architecture governance, Canadian and US integration needs and constraints, multiple delivery models (off-shore, outsourcing, SDLC); Ability to translate business concepts and strategy to technology imperatives and designs; Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF); Experience and proven track record in delivering enterprise class solutions
. Service Oriented Architecture: services architecture, service registry/catalog, ESB/middleware, patterns (pub/sub, scatter/gather); Understands key value drivers; Understands delivery approaches; Experience in architecting and delivering this type of solution
