Job Opening: Project Manager
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Our Calgary based client has an immediate need for a Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity scheduled for a duration of 12 months.

Job Requirements:

-A minimum of 5 but preferably 10 or more years of Project Management experience
-3 + years Upstream Oil and Gas Project Management experience
-A proven Project Management track record:
.managing multi-year and $1M+ projects
.working on IT business solutions projects
.managing multiple projects
.managing infrastructure upgrade projects
.working with staff at all levels within an organization

-Formal training and/or Project Management designation
-Experience with business change management
-Proven ability to work with dynamic and changing requirements in a working group or scrum setting
-Demonstrated ability to ensure Supplier directed work is delivered on time, budget and within scope according to project statements of work
-Some of the nice-to-have skills include:
.GIS experience/knowledge
.2 + years managing projects in an outsourced IT Model
Proven experience/knowledge in such areas as:
.Leading the planning and implementation of projects
.Managing the expectations of stakeholders
.Facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
.Defining project tasks and resource requirements
.Developing full scale project plans
.Assembling and coordinating project staff
.Managing project budgets
.Managing project resource allocation
.Planning and scheduling project timelines
.Tracking project deliverables using appropriate tools
.Providing direction and support to project teams
.Quality assurance
.Monitoring and reporting on project progress to all stakeholders
.Presenting reports that define project progress, problems and solutions
.Implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
.Performing project evaluations and assessment of results
-Proven ability to effectively motivate and leverage the skills and competencies of individuals
-Solid planning, organizing and decision-making skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills
-Proven ability to work within a team environment
-Strong negotiation, conflict management and delegation skills
-The ability to adapt to a variety of situations
