Job Description / Qualification

Our client is a £1bn turnover group of market leading FMCG business that have grown significantly over the past 12 months. Due to the relocation of the current Group Accountant and exciting and career rewarding opportunity is now available for an exceptional finance professional to join the team. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager with very high reporting levels including a monthly meeting with the CEO, our client is looking to secure an ACA qualified accountant that has ideally undergone training with a top 4 firm along with 2 years plus PQE industry experience.

Job Responsibilities

Review and provide guidance on the monthly accounts which are prepared by Operations Accounts, including the review of all cost centres, balance sheets, management reports and SAP to Hyperion reconciliation

Ensure robust cost control processes are in operation, including review meetings with cost centre managers

Support function heads on cost control and projects

Develop the use of accounting systems for cost centre reporting

Prepare the annual budgets for all Centre functions and update the forecasts throughout the year

Review Statutory Accounts in Hyperion; review audit file

Monitor capital expenditure for central functions and prepare summaries

Co-ordinate self assessment audit and feedback

Assist with daily cash management and reporting

Considered candidates:

Must be fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred). Degree preferred.

Experience of financial control and management information reporting

Must be a strong communicator, comfortable with dealing with finance and non-finance colleagues and senior team members.

Competent with excel and other Office applications – SAP experience preferred.

Role has one direct report so must demonstrate people management skills
