Job Opening: Corrosion Engineer/Technologist
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Job Responsibilities:

· Evaluating/developing corrosion mitigation and monitoring programs, corrosion manuals, specifications, failure analysis and materials selection/evaluation.
· Coordinating project and supervising junior personnel.
· Participating in field visits and direct communications with field personnel are required elements of this position.
· Analyzing data and confirming physical and production data of complex pipeline networks.
· Performing line-by-line corrosion assessments.
· Preparing corrosion control strategies and recommendation letters.
· Utilizing applicable technical knowledge in addition to corrosion knowledge to add value to projects.
· Strengthening technical and project management knowledge through on-the-job, informal and formal training.
· Establishing and maintaining positive client relationships.
· Coordinating and organize corrosion-related projects.
· Executing projects effectively and in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:

· P.Eng with APEGGA, or C.E.T. with ASET.
· NACE certification/training in areas such as pipeline internal corrosion would be an asset.
· Be familiar with applicable codes and legislation.
· Practical knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, including H2S, CO2, methanol, MIC, etc. is a requirement.
· Meticulous attention to detail.
· Ability to work with software programs including in-house software programs, EGIS, Visible Data and Microsoft Office programs is a necessity.
· Strong technical skills, with a focus on accurate, repeatable data gathering and analysis, ensuring high quality deliverables to the client.
· Innovative, have a strong work ethic and contribute towards a positive team environment.
· Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively liaise with clients are essential.
· Have a good understanding of project management and controls processes for Integrity projects.
· Experienced with Canadian and U.S. standards, practices and applicable legislation.
· Demonstrated technical proficiency.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills are essential.
· Demonstrated process improvement skills.
· Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
