Summary of Position:

Working as a key member of the Product Development Team, the Senior Product Development Engineer will develop and commercialize new products and technologies related to our unique composite pipeline products. You will lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new exciting products in a highly collaborative and performance-driven environment.

The Senior Product Development Engineer uses a combination of inventive engineering design, sound technical judgment and excellent project management skills to bring a variety of new products from concept to market faster and better than anyone else in the industry. This exciting and highly visible position provides the opportunity to drive the development process from start to finish in innovative composite pipeline products for the oil and gas industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Developing new products and optimizing the cost and performance of existing products
Leading cross-functional teams in the development and commercialization of new products and technologies
Generating new sources of revenue and profitability with successful new product launches
Identifying opportunities for new products and product improvements
Reviewing and interpreting Research & Development and qualification testing results
Organizing the implementation of product line changes
Project Management of development projects

What it takes to own the role

This position is highly visible and will be filled by a candidate who has a proven track record of exceptional performance and results.

Job Requirements:

An degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Petroleum Engineering
A demonstrated ability to plan and manage development projects in a cross-functional team environment
A minimum 10 years of related experience in engineering design or product development
Demonstrated project management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional Engineer designation with APEGGA, or eligibility for registration

Preference will be given to candidates with:

Composites or plastics product design experience
Oil and gas industry experience
History of successful product launches and commercialization of new products
PMP certification
