Job Opening: Safety Administrator
Location: Calgary, AB, Canada

Position Summary:


Reporting to the Director, Health and Safety, the Safety Administrator is responsible for the overall upkeep of training and records for the entire CCS safety department.

Job Responsibilities:

Facilitate new hire orientations and training requirements for all new employees
Arrange for Drug and Alcohol Screens and Medical Fitness Testing
Coordinate all training update requirements for existing employees
Issue training certifications
Facilitate Respirator Fit Testing
Input into and maintain incident tracking database
Data entry and maintenance of employee training database
Maintain regional hard-copy filing as required
Assist the Director of Health & Safety and the Corporate Coordinators as needed
Collection of safety statistical information
Filing, document preparation, scheduling and coordinating meetings


Job Qualifications:

Technical:

Completion of a post-secondary office administrative program is preferred
Minimum 3 years of office administrative experience, or demonstrated competency
Health & Safety Administration Certificate would be an asset
Strong organizational skills along with the ability to accurately enter data and maintain detailed records
Excellent time management skills along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
Ability to coordinate and schedule employee training in an organized and professional manner
Ability to collect, coordinate and maintain statistics/records from a variety of safety programs
Valid and current Class 5 Driver's license
Strong computer skills are a necessity (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Strong interpersonal skills
Must have the ability to work with and build relationships with diverse groups at all levels of the organization
Must maintain a focus on customer service and have the ability to multitask, handle multiple priorities, and be effective in an unstructured, dynamic environment
Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong follow up skills are a must, along with strong organizational skills
