Job Opening: Registered Nurse - Post Anaesthesia Care
Location: Ajax, ON, CANADA; Markham, ON, CANADA; Oshawa, ON, CANADA; Pickering, ON, CANADA


Job Requirements:

Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Competent to perform CPR at a basic Cardiac Life Support level
Competency in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and PALS
PACU course from a recognized institution or PACU experience in an acute care setting
Completion of Coronary Care I and/or Critical Care course from a recognized institution
Minimum of two (2) years current experience in a critical care setting

Demonstrated and sound fundamental knowledge of critical care skills and concepts of Peri-operative care including cardiac monitoring, respiratory, and neurological signs
Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community
Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement
Ability to perform the essential duties of the position
Demonstrated pattern of good attendance and work record

Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to Rouge Valley's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area

Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public
