Job Opening: Transportation Engineer

Position
My client is currently searching for a Transportation Engineer for their Vancouver area office. You will be joining a dynamic team active in the design of highways, roads, and airports. The successful candidate will provide functional planning, design, and construction administration, as well as writing reports and proposals, preparing contracts, and liaising with clients, regulatory and utility agencies, contractors and other consultants.

Job Requirements:

An undergraduate degree in civil engineering from an accredited university
Eligible for professional licensing with APEGBC
5 to 10 years experience in highway and roadworks projects, including geometric, drainage, signing, and markings design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, and construction
Experience in urban and rural highway design
Experience with highway and earthworks design software such as CAiCE and Civil3D
Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Excel
Knowledge of the highway design process
Knowledge of civil/transportation construction procedures
Understanding of traffic engineering principles
Strong technical skills
Strong communication and organization skills
