Job Opening: Web Developer
Location: Calgary, AB, CANADA

Our Calgary based client has an immediate need for a Senior Web Developer for a permanent placement.

Role:
The GUI developer will design and develop the front end of a financial web-based application. The application will incorporate data capture forms, workflow and calculation management, and results reporting in a highly interactive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

.Evaluate existing or proposed user interfaces and identify improvements.
.Design and implement elegant user interfaces and be able to defend design decisions and explain different options considered.
.Visualize large datasets with interactive displays.
.Understand risk management workflows in order to maximize usability.
.Identify common themes across different workflows and client requests and use these to improve consistency across the application.
.Be aware of significant new trends in user interfaces and evaluate their suitability for our products.
.Ensure highly interactive response times by working around performance bottlenecks.
.Implement bug fixes, improvements, and feature requests.

Job Required skills:

.Programming experience with C#.
.Web Programming experience with multi-tier applications, MVC3, JavaScript, and JQuery.
.Advantageous to have experience with SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, ORM (dapper, nhibernate), IOC (Spring.NET), TDD (NUnit), queues, messages, and Nuget.
.Proven ability in user interface design, usability research, or data visualization.
.Knowledge of risk management workflows is useful but not required.
