Your new role
Our Solid Waste and Recycling Division is seeking an experienced Engineer, position location and state negotiable. Reporting to the National Post Collections Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical support for operations, maintenance, construction and business development activities. Duties include:


Design and project-manage waste industry infrastructure projects (including landfill gas systems, waste handling facilities, leachate etc), while ensuring compliance.
Document management plans and liaise with authorities.
Perform landfill modelling, projection calculations and gas emissions assessments.
Prepare budgets and manage purchasing, cost control, programming and equipment procurement.


What you bring to the table
The successful candidate will have moderate experience within a similar role and will have a tertiary qualification in environmental science or engineering. Experience within the waste management industry will be highly regarded. You will be able to build a strong rapport with key stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Computer literacy (including MS Office and CAD); exceptional verbal and written communication skills; and ability to understand environmental science, data analysis, cost management and engineering drawings are paramount.
