Job Opening: Senior Commercial Estimator
Location: Melbourne



We now seek a Senior Commercial Estimator to assist the Services group to win profitable business and who will be involved with the planning and co-ordination of estimating and related commercial matters to continuously improve and provide innovative technical standards and maximise success in tendering.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop winning pricing in response to proposals, RFP, RFT and EOI ;
Interpret detailed contracts industrial mechanisms and legal terminology;
Work with Business Development to ensure the estimation criterion align with the identified expectations of proposals;
Continuously improve and update source information to improve the accuracy of estimates;
Prepare quantity surveys, scheduling, labour cost calculations and cost estimates;
Source and identify, then evaluate, liaise and negotiate with subcontractors, equipment and material suppliers.

Job Requirements:

Experience in pricing “Hard FM” solutions in a tendering environment including services such as HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, Whole of life costings and Asset Management.
Experience with soft FM and Capital Projects
Able to understand and interpret Industrial Relations instruments including EAs & EBAs.
Analytical skills appropriate to step-by-step preparation of bids, requiring simultaneous ‘eye for detail’ skill and ‘big picture’ overview
Essential to have an experience and understanding of the business development environment and the interplay between contracts, operations and commercial outcomes
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline desirable and at least eight years estimating experience

This role may be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and may involve travel.
