Lycopodium is a leading engineering consultancy involved in the design, development and construction of mineral processing and materials handling projects in Australia and overseas.

We are currently expanding our Minerals group in to Melbourne and require several key staff members to work on the design of minerals processing plants throughout Australia and Africa.

We have a subsidiary in Melbourne with an established design office servicing general industry and the new personnel will join this office working on minerals projects.

Due to this expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team. This is a technical design engineering role that will work closely with the Design Manager to ensure outputs are fit for purpose and in alignment with project requirements.

This role will initially require the successful candidate to complete extensive training in our Perth head office and candidates must be prepared to spend up to three (3) months in Perth.

Job Requirements:

Mechanical Engineering Degree
5+ years engineering experience in minerals processing and materials handling
Solid mechanical design engineering background
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Proven ability to manage Client interaction on design and drafting issues relating to Studies / Projects
Commissioning or operations experience in mineral processing plants is desired
Previous work experience with EPCM companies that specialise in minerals processing
