Job Opening: Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Our client is Australia’s leading gas transportation infrastructure business with a core focus on ownership and management of gas transmission and distribution assets. With over a 1000 employees nationally, they manage commercial, regulatory, government and stakeholder-related issues, as well as day to day operations and maintenance for both their company and third party assets.
The organisation currently has a need for an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to take on the challenge and undertake Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering design and package engineering for the delivery of a large Natural Gas transmission related Project in WA. You will work as an integral part of the EIC Design Team for the Project and be responsible for maintaining design schedule, quality assurance, costs and deliverables of assigned works.
Job Responsibilities:
Undertake detailed engineering design of assigned work packages
Monitor cost, quality and schedule during project execution and take corrective action as needed
Create / review high level project engineering documents (e.g. Design Basis, Technical Philosophy documents)
Preparation, review and approval of engineering calculations/specifications/datasheets/reports and work packs (Enquiry and Purchase Order Packages)
Prepare construction, commissioning and handover to operations documentation required for the safe reliable construction and operation of the assets
Contribute to technical bid evaluation and selection of suppliers;
Quality Assurance inspection, FAT and inspection, and transportation and logistics of E&I packages
Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and handover to operations.
Ensuring that the design satisfies statutory regulations, applicable standards, client requirements and company standards
Job Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in the relevant engineering stream
Experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission assets, which could include pipelines, compressor stations, metering stations, SCADA communication systems and LNG plant.
Proven skills and experience in project planning, budgeting, estimating, cost control and managing a multi disciplined project team
Demonstrable knowledge and experience in developing and reviewing functional designs, providing detailed design input, and preparing construction, commissioning and operational documentation for gas transmission assets
Knowledge of relevant Australian codes, statutory requirements and standards such as AS2885, AS3000 and associated reference standards
Familiarity with standards relevant to high and medium pressure gas transmission facilities, installation of pipeline and pressure containment equipment
Strong communication and reporting skills
